Group Cognitive Rehabilitation Program

Our comprehensive Cognitive Rehabilitation Program offers intensive outpatient services three days a week, five hours a day, for six months. This program helps adults with mild to moderate brain injuries develop essential skills in attention, memory, problem-solving, and adjustment to their new circumstances. The program is billed to insurance.

Mental Health Treatment

Individual and Group psychotherapy services help individuals process the emotional changes related to their brain injury and to cope and adapt to the changes in their life. These services are billed to insurance.

Individual Cognitive Treatment

Consists of Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy evaluations and individual treatment. This is typically at a frequency of once to twice weekly for one- hour sessions. These sessions can be tailored to each client’s specific needs and are billed to insurance.

Follow Up Group

This group meets once a week for an hour and is comprised of individuals who have completed the Group Cognitive Rehabilitation Program. The purpose of the group is to continue to support the individuals through the transition from the intensive program and help them implement the strategies learned and move forward on their goals.

Community Program

Consists of a peer mentor program, and outings into the community to practice skills learned in the Group Cognitive Rehabilitation Program.

How It Works

Evaluations

All new clients need a referral from their physician for a Beyond Brain Injury evaluation. This includes Mental Health, Occupational Therapy and Speech language Pathology evaluations. The comprehensive evaluation will determine if you are appropriate for our programming. If not, we will provide you with alternative recommendations.

Scheduling

If you would like to schedule an evaluation, you must have a doctor’s order for a Beyond Brain Injury Program evaluation. We can assist you with getting the order if needed. Please fax the order to 612-484-4480. Once the order is received, we will call you to schedule the evaluation.

The Group Cognitive Rehabilitation program is a medically prescribed service. Fees are billed to payors such as Medical Assistance, Worker’s Compensation, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners and UCare. The program is not covered under Medicare or any Medicare Advantage Plans.
